The Alder Creek Solar Community Grant Program is now accepting applications from local groups and organizations for the program’s Winter 2021 grant cycle.

Launched last year, the program has provided thousands of dollars to support local organizations and changemakers in the communities of Boonville and Forestport. During the programs Spring 2021 grant cycle, eight Oneida County Community groups received funding through the program, including:

• North Country Community Youth Soccer
• The Boonville Fair Association
• The Remsen Didymus Thomas Library
• Boonville Elementary PTA
• Forestport Athletic Association's
• Matthew’s Place Ministries
• Boonville Little League
• North Country Proudly Honors

Grant applications are open to any individual, group, or organization serving residents of Boonville, Forestport, or the broader Oneida County community. Grants are typically awarded in $250 to $4,000 increments, with priority given to proposals that demonstrate meaningful impacts to the greatest number of area residents.
